Well, last week flew by without any updates -- apologies. I suppose we did have a shorter week with the P/T Conferences and such... and then you spent a lot of time working on your exhibits.
This week, BOTH classes will have 3 work periods to get their Japan exhibits completed. Please use your time wisely and consider, if you need, taking work home so that you don't feel rushed.
On Friday, our plan is to have a viewing of Netflix's Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat. In the episode, you will learn a little bit more about Japanese culture and its unique cuisine.

Sorry folks, updates posted a little late this week -- our days have been chock a block full of maps projects and podcasts, that things got away from me.
As you know already, Japan Maps are due Monday, November 19th. This does not include the write ups because we will go through all of that this coming week.
You also need to have your podcast completed by Monday, November 19th as well.
Use your class time (you're getting lots of it!) and some of you might even need to consider "working lunches" to get everything done. Reminder that my classroom will be open/available all week should you need the space.
I hope you all enjoyed our field study to the Arts Commons today! We certainly learned a lot about Japanese culture and also came back with some awesome ideas for shadow theatre in the near future.
Well, we've made it through another jam packed week! Well done friends! Those of us who ventured out to Drum for the multi-night field study, I hope you've all caught up on some rest!
This week is going to be focused mainly on wrapping up our Japan Jig-Saws as well as our Urban Legends (UL) podcasts. We will also continue working through our Worldview Investigation concerning the events in Pittsburgh.
Please make sure that ALL voice recordings for the ULs are complete and uploaded into your Google Drives. Due to a number of field studies, Mr. Stone will be coming in to assist 102 on Tuesday November 6th and then 108 will have their session on Friday November 16th. We need to motor through and get this done!
BOTH classes will also have some scheduled time to work on your Japan Map project -- so if you haven't done so already, please start thinking about what materials you will need to bring in for our build times.
